The Protestant Institute of Arts and Social Sciences (PIASS) would like to recruit a lecturer and Programme Leader for the Master of Education in Quality Education Management (MEQUAM).

I. Key duties and Responsibilities 

        1.      Coordinate the implementation of the Master of Education in Quality Education Management

              (MEQUAM) in close collaboration with the International Master Programme in Educational

               Quality (IMPEQ) Coordinator.

       2.      Ensure effective logistical arrangement in relation to welcoming of the MEQUAM students and teachers. 

       3.     Effective involvement in PIASS teaching learning, research activities, program design, review

              and community outreach

       4.      Teach the theoretical and practical modules/units relating to education at master and bachelor levels.

       5.      Develop methodology that allows students to learn and to promote the spirit of creativity and

              innovation in favouring participatory and active methods.

      6.      Ensure quality assessment of students, especially those in the programme of MEQUAM.

      7.      Supervise and assess students’ dissertations

      8.      Involvement in Faculty administration

      9.      Close collaboration with all Faculties, Departments and different Directorates and Services of PIASS. 

     10.  Advising PIASS on the elaboration of new master programs and projects.

     11.  Work and cooperate with international partners

    12.  Assume any other tasks given by the supervisor.

II. General Qualifications and skills

·         Minimum of a PhD degree in Educational Sciences

·         Demonstrate interest in educational quality development and scientific research

·         Computer literacy with E-Learning Management Systems

·         Ability to multi-task, work independently and in a team

·         Proven organizational, coordination and inter-cultural communication skills

·         Readiness to participate actively in the social and spiritual life of PIASS community;

·         To be free from any employment and make a formal commitment to leave it once recruited by PIASS

·         Experience in educational leadership

·         Experience of teaching in Higher Learning institutions

·         Experience in the management of international funds

·         Demonstrate flexibility in working environment

·         Results-oriented with adherence to deliverables and deadlines

·         Familiarity with the Management Information System (MIS) would be an added value

·         Qualifications to teach education related modules at the Bachelor and Masters levels

·         Being an Alumnus of the International Master Programme in Educational Quality (IMPEQ) would be an added value.
